SUMMARY
Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a Legal Assistant in our Legal Department to work full time in our Eatontown, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in contracts management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS
- Contract review and drafting
- Consulting agreements with clients
- Consulting agreements with independent contractors
- Other third party contracts
- Case management
- Managing outside counsel
- Insurance support
- Assist in the development of documents and completion of forms
- Compose and/or draft correspondences and reports
- Gathering and researching information
- Organizing Data and information
- Corresponding with different departments
- Corresponding with state agencies
- Corresponding with insurance brokers
- Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions
- Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Internet navigation and Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized, responsive, and able to work with minimum supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years of experience in contracts/legal management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the workshift.
