SUMMARY
Partner is seeking a full-time summer intern to support our Environmental Science Dept. and other administrative duties in our Torrance, CA office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS
- Project research (historical, regulatory, etc.)
- Data compilation and organization
- Preparation of quality supporting documents (site figures, appendices, etc.)
- Other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager associated with various administrative duties around the office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete specific project tasks as directed by the Technical Directors and Project Managers
- Conduct project research as applicable to scope of work (historical, regulatory, etc.).
- Data compilation and organization.
- Preparation of quality supporting report documents/files.
- Maintain communication with team members throughout the course of the project.
- Identify and resolve issues with projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent communication skills (internal and external)
- Exceptional writing skills a plus
- Basic Principle of environmental knowledge
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrate strong skills in observation, deduction, and reasoning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum – Enrolled student in Environmental and Geotechnical or similar programs who is within six months to a year of graduation
- Must have reliable source of transportation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
- Must be able to climb a ladder and any other physical work.
