Summer Environmental Intern CLOSED

SUMMARY

Partner is seeking a full-time summer intern to support our Environmental Science Dept. and other administrative duties in our Torrance, CA office.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS

  • Project research (historical, regulatory, etc.)
  • Data compilation and organization
  • Preparation of quality supporting documents (site figures, appendices, etc.)
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager associated with various administrative duties around the office.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete specific project tasks as directed by the Technical Directors and Project Managers
  • Conduct project research as applicable to scope of work (historical, regulatory, etc.).
  • Data compilation and organization.
  • Preparation of quality supporting report documents/files.
  • Maintain communication with team members throughout the course of the project.
  • Identify and resolve issues with projects.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external)
  • Exceptional writing skills a plus
  • Basic Principle of environmental knowledge
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate strong skills in observation, deduction, and reasoning.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum – Enrolled student in Environmental and Geotechnical or similar programs who is within six months to a year of graduation
  • Must have reliable source of transportation

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
  • Must be able to climb a ladder and any other physical work.
