Lynn Smith, PG

Ms. Smith currently serves as a Relationship Manager at Partner Engineering and Science, where her duties include managing business development, overseeing delivery of quality environmental assessment services to clients, and ongoing client management for Partner’s broad scope of commercial real estate projects. Based out of Partner’s Chicago, IL office, Ms. Smith brings over 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. She has performed and overseen hundreds of environmental due diligence consulting projects in her career, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site remediation and closure services, transaction and risk assessment consulting, urban redevelopment of commercial/industrial properties, municipal Brownfield sites, and transportation and infrastructure improvement projects. She has experience working with various industrial, commercial and governmental clients. 

In addition to managing, training and coordinating environmental due diligence teams, Ms. Smith’s expertise includes project/program management, client relations, business development, and RFP/IFB/RFQ/RFI proposal preparation. Ms. Smith combines clients’ business needs with risk-based corrective action procedures for evaluating and conducting risk assessments. Ms. Smith is a proven leader with a focus on client service/satisfaction and empowering her teams to efficiently execute projects to meet client needs and vision.

Ms. Smith’s expertise in technical report writing and business development documentation includes commercial real estate and merger and acquisition transaction consultation; cost-estimating; proposal preparation; technical writing and professional staff training; document reviews; project health and safety plans and implementation; and regulatory negotiations.

Prior to joining Partner, Ms. Smith was a Senior Level Environmental Professional at a major environmental engineering firm, where she successfully managed interdisciplinary teams in the execution of a diverse portfolio of environmental due diligence assessments; soil and waste management consultation; underground storage tank decommissions and closure; and regulatory site investigations and soil and groundwater remediation for site closure under State regulations. She proactively consulted clients on risk management with emerging environmental issues and is an expert on contaminants of emerging concern.
