VETERAN TAPPED TO HEAD WEST REGION

Gwen A. Tellegen, PE

Partner is very pleased to welcome Gwen A. Tellegen, PE to our Environmental Services Group as the new Managing Director of the Western Region.  Gwen will transition into Robert Traylor’s role as the West Region lead as Robert assumes his position as Senior Environmental Advisor for the team.  Ms. Tellegen comes to us with over 25 years of experience in site remediation and assessment of complex sites leading to expedited regulatory closures, technical litigation support, methane assessment, and mitigation membrane design, oil well abandonment and oilfield assessment and remediation, environmental regulatory compliance, and expedited Brownfield redevelopment. Over the course of her career, Gwen has served as the Principal Environmental Engineer, Director of Remediation and Compliance, Operations Director, and Consultant, which gives her the operational and technical diversity necessary to lead every aspect of this position.

According to Suzi Rosen, PG, CHg Principal and Managing Director of Partner’s Environmental Solutions Group, “We are so excited to have Gwen join the Partner team!  Gwen brings forth high-level and wide-ranging environmental expertise that is truly rare to find in our industry.  Her unique qualifications are a great addition to our Environmental Solutions Group and will position us to continue our success in securing and successfully managing complex, high profile environmental solutions projects as well as expand our capabilities with historical oil production and oil well-related projects”.

In this position, Ms. Tellegen will be responsible for the Environmental Solutions Group in the West Region and will oversee projects involving services from site characterization, site remediation, regulatory agency interaction/negotiation, remedial cost estimates, environmental litigation support, and expert witness. In addition, she will grow and enhance and introduce specific services to the group, including oil well abandonment services, soil management, and construction oversight, environmental remediation and regulatory closure negotiations specialists, and VOC vapor and methane gas barrier design and construction.

Most recently, Ms. Tellegen was focused on the acquisition, assessment, and remediation of oilfield properties for redevelopment. While performing this specialized service, she was responsible for not only the technical assessment but the regulatory permitting compliance and design oversight. It is particularly important to note that as a regulatory negotiation specialist, Ms. Tellegen was responsible for more than 25 No Further Action Letters from regulatory agencies in California and the Western United States.

When asked why she chose Partner as her professional home, Ms. Tellegen said, “Partner’s client-focused solutions to a wide variety of challenges in real estate transactions, redevelopment projects, compliance issues, and litigation matters were attractive to me.  The breadth of Partner’s integrated client services is impressive; how work flows seamlessly between groups is astonishing.  I’m confident that my client’s needs can be well served cost-effectively at Partner.”

Ms. Tellegen continued, “The Partner technical teams’ qualifications across the US are amazing, and the opportunity for expansion into Europe is exciting.  The growing nature of the company and the diversity of Partner’s clients/ projects provide a wide variety of future work possibilities for all employees. For me, this means that I will continue to grow professionally with Partner, keeping work fun each day.

Everyone I spoke to about their experience at Partner indicated that this is the best place they have worked and that their efforts are recognized and rewarded, regardless of their position in the company.”
