About the Project

Partner professionals designed the HVAC, electric, plumbing, fire protection and information technology systems for a new library building of approximately 35,000 sf for the Hudson County Community College to be located on the corner of Sip Avenue and Jones Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. The preliminary floor plan indicates three floors, each approximately 12,000 sf in area. The first and second floors were designed as fully developed floors, housing such functions as stacks, reading areas, offices, IT and A/V areas, computer rooms, toilets, etc. The third floor contains 12 multi-purpose classrooms, a student lounge and faculty offices. A rooftop terrace is an added amenity and provides space for quite reading and student interaction. In addition there is a partial basement, which has been designated mainly for mechanical and electrical equipment.
