About the Project
Partner professionals provided mechanical and electrical engineering expertise to the Design Ideas Group (DIG) for the design and construction phase services for this new 94,000 sf three-story elementary school for the Long Branch Board of Education. The HVAC portion of the project included ventilation units, a central chilled water plant, and a central boiler plant.
Hot and chilled water are distributed through a four-pipe system to air-handling units and classroom unit ventilators. All HVAC components are under the control of a Central Building Automation System. The electrical design includes emergency power systems, electrical power distribution systems, intercom and public address systems, and IT wiring infrastructure. Partner professionals also designed complete plumbing and fire protection sprinkler systems. Partner professionals assisted the district with applications for rebates on applicable HVAC and lighting equipment under the New Jersey Smart Start Program for this project.
