Doug Newton, PG Joins Partner Engineering and Science, Inc.

Doug NewtonMALVERN, PA - December 27, 2016—Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. (Partner) has announced that Douglas (Doug) Newton, PG has joined the firm as a National Client Manager. Based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, Mr. Newton is a registered geologist in several states with 32 years of professional experience as an environmental consultant in geologic, hydrogeological, environmental, land development, and waste management services. 

Mr. Newton will be providing his technical and management services for a full range of environmental projects for clients such as developers, real estate advisory firms, Fortune 500 firms, insurance companies, attorneys, and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT). Mr. Newton is highly knowledgeable in the fields of geology and hydrogeology as they pertain to all types of industrial and commercial properties. He has been responsible for designing and managing remedial investigations and remedial design projects, hydrogeologic studies, design/installation of production wells, vapor intrusion assessments, litigation support and expert testimony, consent order negotiations, and aquifer characterization studies.

At this time, Mr. Newton has been focusing on providing and managing environmental and engineering due diligence services for Fortune 500 Companies, oil and gas companies, developers, and commercial and real estate clients including Wells Fargo, ModSpace Corporation, PGIM Real Estate, and AIG. He is familiar with the reporting standards of due diligence requirements such as ASTM E1527-13 standards, EPA’s All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI), and New Jersey’s Property Transfer Law known as Industrial Site Recovery Act (FKA Environmental Cleanup Responsibility Act).

Mr. Newton was a member and active participant of the Marcellus Shale Coalition, and Co-Chair of the Stray Gas Committee which developed a set of recommended practices for investigating and mitigating impacts related to groundwater and indoor air associated with methane. He has also become a Registered Professional Geologist (PG) in five states and has authored two publications.

Mr. Newton received his Master’s in Hydrogeology from West Virginia University after he earned his Bachelors of Science in Geology. He is a part of the American Institute of Professional Geologists – Certified Professional Geologist CPG 7954, and is a registered PG in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Missouri.
