Duncan Douglas Joins Partner Engineering and Science’s Relationship Management Team

Atlanta, GA—March, 2017 - Partner Engineering and Science Inc. (Partner), a national engineering, environmental, and energy consulting and design firm, is proud to announce Mr. Duncan Douglas as their newest Atlanta-based relationship manager specializing in due diligence services. With 27 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry, he has extensive experience in managing all aspects of transactional due diligence. “Duncan’s combination of technical background and long-term client relationships will assist in the growth of Partner’s regional and national presence. We are confident that Duncan will immediately become a trusted resource for our staff and clients throughout the country,” said Steven Kitzke, Operational Director for the Central Region.

Mr. Douglas has worked in the environmental field since the 1980s, gaining knowledge in various disciplines such as environmental site assessments (ESAs), property condition assessments (PCAs), Phase II subsurface investigations, soil and groundwater remediation, environmental compliance, asbestos, mold, and indoor air quality assessments, lead-in-water and lead-based paint surveys, and geotechnical and seismic risk assessments throughout the United States.

For the first six years of his career, Mr. Douglas worked as a City Planner before moving to Atlanta where he started a new practice in transactional due diligence. During this time, he developed a thriving business that grew into multi-disciplinary work and included geotechnical work, environmental compliance, and the startup of a significant PCA practice. Prior to joining Partner, Mr. Douglas was a Vice President and Geosciences/Remediation Area Manager for a leading, multi-disciplinary Fortune 500 engineering firm with $19 billion in annual revenues. While there, he was responsible for managing clients and projects throughout the nation for transactional due diligence services. In addition, he was accountable for Phase II soil and groundwater investigations, corrective action implementation, and other environmental engineering projects. The depth and breadth of his experience allow Mr. Douglas to apply his multi-disciplinary project understanding to creative, cost-effective solutions for his clients, which include national retailers, automotive dealers, and various equity investors.

One of Mr. Douglas’ more noteworthy portfolios involved conducting environmental due diligence and remedial liability cost estimating in support of acquisition negotiations between two of the top-10 largest automotive dealership groups in the United States. The transaction represented the largest, single acquisition of dealership properties in the retail automotive industry in recent years, involving stores in several major metropolitan markets in both the eastern and western regions of the US, and totaled approximately $2.3 billion in annualized revenues. Through his competent handling of large portfolios such as this dealership project, Mr. Douglas has become a trusted resource for equity-type clients.

“I am looking forward to becoming a valued asset to Partner and all of its staff in order to maximize potential growth within the company,” said Duncan Douglas. “Most importantly, I am excited to be able to offer more services to my clients in order to make their overall transactions smoother and easier!” Mr. Douglas graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Miami University (Ohio), and completed his Graduate Studies in Urban Planning at Florida State University.
