I recently offered some insight to SoCal Real Estate for an article about how developers are balancing budgeting for their due diligence while simultaneously adhering to health regulations and requirements. This is particularly important for the State of California, where regulations are stringently enforced, especially emerging hazards such as vapor intrusion. Topics discussed in the article include how to navigate historical or adaptive reuse sites, how to leverage remediation with the use of the property to save money, new technical approaches to site remediation efforts, and how evolving regulations have changed the relationships between state agencies and the technical consultant.
