David Reifsnyder works with Partner’s renewable energy team as a Senior Project Manager, focusing primarily on independent engineering services for PV solar, BESS, RNG, and Enhanced Geothermal projects. Mr. Reifsnyder is an experienced renewable energy system developer and installation manager.
He has worked with all project facets, including performing detailed reviews of electrical, structural, civil, and geotechnical design sets, production modeling, EPC and O&M contract reviews, utility PPAs, and manufacturer MSAs. He is frequently called upon to perform project completion inspections of solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. Mr. Reifsnyder is a serial entrepreneur with successful exits and ongoing development during his more than three-decade tenure in the renewable energy, power electronics, enterprise software, water treatment, and industrial control sectors.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Reifsnyder has supported projects involving BESS, utility-scale solar, wind energy, biomass gasification, renewable natural gas, geothermal power generation, and carbon sequestration technologies. His technical background enables him to actively participate in equipment reviews, contract analyses, financial modeling, and project certifications.
With more than four decades of experience spanning renewable energy, automation, software engineering, and advanced technology commercialization, Mr. Reifsnyder brings a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective to project development and management. Before joining Partner, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Spano Partners, a renewable energy development company focused on commercial and utility-scale solar projects. He was also co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of my-RESI, a developer of residential virtual power plant (VPP) solutions, where he led the design and financial modeling of solar-plus-storage systems.
Throughout his career, Mr. Reifsnyder has held executive leadership positions focused on strategy, technology commercialization, and corporate growth. As Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Descartes Systems Group, he played a key role in reorganizing the company’s product portfolio and market strategy during a period of substantial growth. He also co-founded and led several technology ventures, including companies specializing in supply chain software, industrial systems, water treatment technologies, and digital communications platforms.
In addition to his corporate leadership experience, Mr. Reifsnyder has remained actively involved in entrepreneurial and emerging technology initiatives. He is an investment partner in early-stage companies focused on optimizing utility-scale solar performance and on advanced industrial and municipal water treatment solutions. His broad background in engineering, renewable energy, software systems, financial modeling, and business development enables him to provide clients with both technical insight and strategic perspective across complex infrastructure and energy projects.
