A PARTNERship to Build Homes from the Heart

By Partner ESI

Torrance, California – January 10, 2017 – This year, Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. (Partner) announced they are teaming up with Habitat for Humanity on a company-wide ongoing sponsorship. This comes as part of a formalized giving program, also just announced, and headed by Michael Giuliano (Eatontown, NJ), Partner’s Administrative Director.

“In the ten years since its inception, Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. has experienced remarkable growth through the entrepreneurial leadership, vision and the hard work of a dedicated staff. One of the ways we measure the success of our organization is in our ability to pay our success forward. In teaming up with an institution as awe-inspiring as Habitat for Humanity, we hope to do just that. We are thrilled to support their mission,” said Giuliano.

CEO Joe Derhake has always been passionate about sharing his entrepreneurial spirit with his colleagues, encouraging employees to identify and explore new opportunities using the infrastructure and resources offered by the Partner Company. To that end, Partner has long supported charitable giving through active participation in local community building and their employee wellness program which emphasizes healthy living.

As a natural progression of this vision, this year, Partner has implemented a formal giving program in support of qualified nonprofit organizations. Accordingly, they have committed a percentage of year-end net profit, approximating $100,000 to fund the program. The cornerstone of this program consists of a designated Habitat for Humanity budget, with a 1:1 matching program, and Partner sponsorship in fund raising events.

“We have always recognized the value in ensuring that employees have the tools they need to expand to encourage a healthy, happy workforce and community though company-sponsored charity events, initiatives, and educational programs. This year, we felt it was important for us to formalize this commitment, confirming our larger vision for Partner to actively participate in building the community we serve”, said Derhake.

On Friday, December 23rd, Partner donated $5,000 to Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity. The total cost for the house build is approximately $150k and Partner’s donation is going directly into that fund. Partner’s regional headquarters (Eatontown, NJ) will participate in a team building day to be held in early 2017.Partner is thrilled to wrap up 2016 by providing corporate sponsorship in the amount of $5,000 to the following Habitat for Humanity Chapters:

  • Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity (NJ)
  • Habitat for Humanity Broward County (AL)
  • Habitat for Humanity for Greater Cincinnati  (OH)
  • Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County (MI)
  • Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston (MA)

“We are very excited about this new giving program and expect extensive company participation as it continues to grow,” said Derhake.
