This weekend ASTM published changes to the E2026 guide and E2557 standard for Seismic Risk Assessment and PML reports. The 2016 seismic standards are available for download from the ASTM website here and here.
The revisions are an important step toward providing clarity and consistency across the industry, but may also exert upward pressure on the cost and time to complete certain seismic risk assessments.
