Mike Ebel Joins Partner as Director of Strategic Development for Industrial Hygiene

Partner is pleased to announce that Mike Ebel, has joined us as the Director of Strategic Development – Industrial Hygiene. With over 26 years of experience in hazardous building materials (asbestos, LBP, PCB’s, mercury, etc.), indoor air quality and safety consulting, Mr. Ebel will serve as an additional resource for the success of the Industrial Hygiene department. His environmental career developed predominantly in the field of industrial hygiene/suspect mold/indoor air quality (IAQ) with significant emphasis in the area of employee exposure assessments in relation to mold, asbestos, asbestos surveys and sample collection, remediation/abatement project design, monitoring and management, and post-remediation/abatement sample analysis.

According to Pat Lorimer, Partner’s Executive Director, “Mike brings a level and variety of environmental and industrial hygiene experience that is not commonly found in our industry. He will be instrumental in offering environmental compliance solutions for large Fortune 100 financial institutions. His experience working with high-profile, global clients will bring another layer of depth to our Environmental Solutions Group”.

In this position, Mr. Ebel will be responsible for developing a growth-oriented strategy for Partner Engineering’s HS/IH practice as well as lead the implementation of large, complex HS/IH programs and projects.

In addition to his general experience, Mr. Ebel has specialized skills and accreditations that will set our Industrial Hygiene apart from others. As a subject matter expert, he has been commonly requested as an expert and factual witness to various lawsuits or claims. Mr. Ebel has deposition and courtroom experience with lawsuits related to Indoor Air Quality, Mold, Asbestos, and general Industrial Hygiene topics. Mr. Ebel is an approved Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card holder, which allows unescorted access to secure areas of port facilities, outer continental shelf facilities, and vessels regulated under the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002, or MTSA, and all U.S. Coast Guard credentialed merchant mariners. In addition, he is expected to receive a DOD Common Access Card in the next few months. On a yearly basis, Mr. Ebel prepares and delivers presentations to building organizations, trade groups, conferences and advisory agencies on the subjects of mold, indoor air quality, environmental preparedness, catastrophe response, environmental implications during catastrophe response and safety and environmental compliance.
