Partner Energy Hosts West Coast GRESB Results Event

By Partner ESI

Partner Energy and Partner Engineering and Science, Inc., co-hosted the first West Coast GRESB Results Event on Wednesday, November 4th. The event gathered industry experts to discuss approaches to sustainability and how GRESB has proven successful in advancing these efforts.

Over 50 participants arrived to the Partner Headquarters located in Torrance, California. The gathering attracted a large real estate industry presence, bringing in notable names such as TA Realty, Colony Capital, Kilroy Realty Corporation, and HCP, Inc.

A major highlight of the night was GRESB COO, Chris Pyke’s, global overview on the 2015 GRESB Results. The presentation addressed trends in data and assessment standings for the 2015 fiscal year – over 700, a new high count, fund and portfolio managers participated in the assessment this year. Participating funds represented $2.3 trillion of global real estate. A panel discussion formed after, discussing the real world successes and challenges of sustainability integration in real estate portfolios.

“We were thrilled and honored for the opportunity to host this event,” said John Rockwell, Program Manager at Partner Energy. “Sustainability integration in fund management is a trending topic in the real estate industry, Partner is excited to be on the forefront with GRESB.”

Prior to the Results presentation, Head of North America, GRESB, Dan Winters conducted a comprehensive GRESB Investor and Analyst Training program, which addressed emerging aspects of sustainability in real estate investment portfolios, ESG stewardship through GRESB, and a detailed technical walk-through of the annual GRESB Assessment.
