Partner Principal Summer Gell Wins Two Major Industry Awards

By Partner ESI

DALLAS, Texas – Partner Principal Summer Gell was the recipient of two major industry awards announced in November. Mortgage Women Magazine’s 2019 “Women with Vision” Award and Connect Media’s 2019 “Women in Real Estate” Award both honored outstanding women in commercial real estate for their achievements and contributions to their field.

The inaugural Women with Vision award (a collaboration between Mortgage Women Magazine and executive and sponsorship teams of 20/20 Vision for Success Coaching) recognizes women at the forefront of real estate, who are leading the industry in the areas of innovation, leadership, ingenuity, and transformation of their companies.

Connect Media’s 2019 Women in Real Estate Award honors inspirational women who play important roles in the commercial real estate industry through their talent, drive, and fresh ideas. Representing 10 winners for the Texas/Gulf region, Ms. Gell was chosen from hundreds of nominations sent in by Connect readers from all parts of the country and representing all sectors of the commercial real estate industry — from investment and leasing to development, management and finance.

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to both organizations for this tremendous recognition,” says Gell. “Working at a company with people that take responsibility for the growth and success of not only the company itself, but also each other, is very rewarding in and of itself.”

Working out of Partner’s Dallas office, Ms. Gell oversees the company’s Gulf region in addition to managing a national roster of clients from various market sectors. She leverages over 25 years of experience to provide solutions to her clients’ environmental and engineering due diligence requirements. During her time with Partner, Ms. Gell has overseen and trained the majority of senior staff working from the company’s growing regional Gulf offices, and under her direction, Partner’s Wetlands services have grown to a burgeoning practice across several states. She also streamlined Partner’s recent acquisition of Florida-based Industrial Hygiene firm ECO Advisors, LLC. Through her leadership, knowledge, and work ethic, Ms. Gell has achieved the distinction of reaching number one in sales at Partner, three years in a row.

“Summer has been a cornerstone of Partner’s success.” says Partner CEO Joseph P. Derhake. “Her personal brand is our company brand in some segments of the market.”

Ms. Gell truly lives by the motto “Speak softly but carry a big stick.” She prides herself on finding solutions for a deal through productive dialogue with multiple stakeholders in the industry, all of whom have differing stakes. She believes strongly in finding the right solution for the client’s end business goal, even when that means collaborating with other consultants, considering outside opinions, or tailoring her scientific approach towards a specific deal or need. She is always willing to go the extra mile, be responsive, cross-collaborate, and work with any kind of client under any kind of transactional circumstances. With thousands of transactions under her belt, no challenge is too big or too complex.

A graduate of Western Carolina University and National Multifamily Housing Council member, Ms. Gell was previously recognized as a GlobeSt/Real Estate Forum Top 40 Under 40.
