Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is proud to announce the expansion of its Remediation Practice with the appointment of Eric Smith, PG, CHg as the new Regional Director for Environmental Solutions in the Southwestern United States. This strategic move underscores Partner’s commitment to growing its booming oil well practice and addressing the unique needs of this sector.
Eric Smith brings over 30 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry, specializing in large-scale remediation projects. His extensive background includes complex soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation, site assessments, and environmental litigation support. As the new Regional Director, Smith will oversee operations in Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California. His leadership is expected to drive significant growth and success for Partner in these key markets.
Suzi Rosen, PG, CHg, Principal and Managing Director for Environmental Solutions at Partner, expressed her enthusiasm for the new appointments: “We are thrilled to welcome Eric Smith to Partner. Eric’s extensive experience in managing significant remediation projects and his deep understanding of the technical and regulatory aspects of environmental consulting make him a perfect fit for our team.”
Smith’s career is marked by notable achievements, including managing the remediation of a former 56-acre oil refinery with 20 abandoned oil wells, which required the removal of 20 million pounds of deep soil hydrocarbon contamination. Smith’s expertise in hydrogeologic and geochemical conditions and remediation will be particularly beneficial as he joins Partner’s thought leadership team, addressing critical environmental issues today. Furthermore, his experience will help support the PFAS team with thought leadership as PFAS is a concern relating to groundwater and drinking water. “I am excited to join Partner and contribute to its growth and success. I look forward to working collaboratively with Suzi, Gwen, and the entire team to tackle challenging projects and mentor junior staff,” said Smith.
Smith’s technical expertise will strengthen Partner’s service offerings and support clients in achieving their environmental goals. “Eric’s technical knowledge and leadership skills will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow our practice and support our clients in achieving their environmental goals,” added Rosen.
