Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is pleased to welcome Scott Pritchard, an Environmental Professional and seasoned client manager, as a National Client Manager. With over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting, Mr. Pritchard leverages his technical background to guide commercial real estate clients on managing environmental and engineering risks. Based in San Diego and serving clients nationwide, Mr. Pritchard is a significant addition to Partner’s national client management team.
“I’ve known and respected Scott for many years, it is a pleasure to finally have him on the Partner team,” said Joe Derhake, PE, CEO of Partner. “Scott has a great reputation for the kind of technical expertise and problem solving that clients trust and rely on.”
Mr. Pritchard works with large private and publicly traded equity clients, corporate and retail real estate owners, CMBS lenders, bank Environmental Risk Managers (ERMs), legal counsels and regulatory agencies to quantify environmental and engineering risks associated with commercial real estate transactions. Notable clients have included Four Corners Property Trust, Realty Income Corporation, Walgreens, Mister Car Wash, CBRE Capital Markets, Union Bank, and Citigroup, among many others.
Drawing on his extensive technical background, Mr. Pritchard’s approach focuses on early resolution of potential issues, and practical solutions to address confirmed problems. He is adept at providing timely recommendations tailored to the specific needs of real estate transactions, including large scale portfolio projects. Recently, Mr. Pritchard provided equity-level due diligence for the sale/lease-back of over 150 pharmacy properties nationwide. Other large acquisition due diligence projects Mr. Pritchard has managed include a 450-site portfolio of retail and automotive properties, and a 120-site self-storage portfolio throughout the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Pritchard is also expert at complex single-site projects such as a 30-acre redevelopment site in San Diego with numerous areas of concern (AOC) including orphan USTs and two previously unknown open/inactive release cases associated with the property. Under Mr. Pritchard’s management, each AOC was investigated, the inactive release cases were closed out, and contaminated areas were successfully remediated in order to allow clearance for redevelopment.
“I’m excited to be joining a market leader that is so committed to due diligence,” Mr. Pritchard shared. “With a large army of registered professionals and strong infrastructure, I’ll be able to deliver my clients consistently high-quality consulting.”
Mr. Pritchard is an active member of the Environmental Banker Association and the Mortgage Bankers Association. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Virginia Tech and is an AHERA Certified Asbestos Building Inspector.
