Construction Risk Management for The Link at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA

Partner was engaged to work with the client to mitigate Construction Risk via Document & Cost Review and Construction Progress Monitoring services. Highlights of the project include the restoration of existing 100+-year-old street facades for reuse on the new 3-story retail and student housing building as well as an all-new five-story student housing building.

The project consisted of 126 student housing apartments near the Drexel University campus. The 149,362 GSF mixed-use building is comprised of a new 5-story addition at the rear of an existing three-story building. By keeping the street facades and removing the rear walls, it created one complete building with a common entrance lobby for the upper residential floors. The existing building facades were restored and the structure was renovated. The street level of the existing building retains separate commercial and retail spaces, which were also renovated.
