Partner performed the environmental and engineering due diligence in support of the firm’s acquisition of Portland’s historic Board of Trade Building. This historic gem was constructed in 1909 and sits centrally in the technology triangle of Portland’s central business district where it draws leasing synergy from surrounding companies including Puppet Labs, Google, Survey Monkey, Airbnb, and others. The client expects the property will have continued long term upside as The Ankeny Blocks are developed into dense office and residential products, with ready access to multiple transportation lines and markets. The planned multi-million dollar re-position of the property will preserve the historic character of the building while upgrading common areas and converting older office suites into turn-key, open, and collaborative spaces.
Partner’s services included a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and Property Condition Assessment with an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) subspecialist report.
