Partner was engaged by the client to perform the Environmental and Engineering due diligence on New York’s iconic Olympic Tower. This pillar of midtown Manhattan, located in the heart of the vibrant neighborhood of Fifth Avenue, remains a landmark, as the city’s first major multi-family condominium complex. The historic, glass and steel, mixed-use building was developed by Aristotle Onassis and was designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. The building towers 51 floors on Fifth Avenue across the street from both St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Center. The 21 commercial floors, spanning corporate offices, stores and galleries, provide an impressive foundation for the 30 floors of residences. Our scope of services on this property included an ASTM E1527-13 Standard Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), an Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) survey and Operations and Maintenance Plan, and a Property Condition Assessment (PCA) in compliance with the scope of work defined by ASTM E2018 Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments: Baseline Property Condition Assessment Process.
