In August of 2019, Partner worked with our client and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) to develop a plan for the redevelopment of a former gas station on the corner of Canal Street and City Park Avenue in Mid City New Orleans. The site was previously investigated and closed to LDEQ Risk Evaluation / Corrective Action Program (RECAP) standards. In accordance with LDEQ’s no further action (NFA) determination, Partner developed a Soil Management Plan for the property and continues to monitor the soil for enclosed structure concerns.
This client originally contacted Partner for a remediation cost estimate. Partner saved our client tens of thousands of dollars in remediation costs through our familiarity with state environmental regulations. Partner continues to be the mediator between our client and LDEQ and monitors the site for compliance.
