In July 2025, Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. was engaged after a box truck struck the southeast corner of the building during a resident’s move-in. The client requested that Partner assess the extent of any potential structural damage resulting from the impact.
Partner’s structural engineers determined that the impact caused only minor cosmetic damage to the EIFS façade – approximately a three-inch area.
- No structural damage was observed to the framing or adjacent finishes.
- A hairline crack in the nearby drywall seam was identified as normal flexural movement, unrelated to the truck impact.
Partner’s prompt and thorough evaluation following a structural assessment for the Client provided peace of mind that the building’s structural integrity remained sound.
By recommending temporary sealing of the damaged area and subsequent repair of the EIFS system, Partner helped the Client:
