I was recently interviewed in Commercial Property Executive about the growing necessity for a resiliency standard in commercial real estate similar to the probable maximum loss assessment that is used for properties in seismic zones. Among the topics of discussion: how much more are clients asking for and utilizing resiliency to make business decisions; what factors go into creating a new resiliency due diligence standard; and how best to protect properties and prepare for damage from natural disasters.
