Preventing Mold From Impacting Your Air Quality and Property Value

By Frank S. Romeo, Jr.

PROACTIVE MAINTENANCE AND ASSESSMENTS ARE ESSENTIAL

Mold colony growth can occur on commercial real estate property whenever moisture intrusion seeps in. This can happen either due to humid conditions or when water from winter weather seeps into cracks and building crevices. In an article for the Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal entitled “Preventing Mold From Impacting Your Air Quality and Property Value,” I discuss the importance of proactive maintenance, paired with engagement with certified industrial hygienists to perform mold assessments, for ensuring occupant safety, optimal Indoor Air Quality, and maintain your building value.
