The American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) is a professional membership society for the spatial data information industry. American Congress on Surveying and Mapping’s members include three primary organizations (NSPS, AAGS and GLIS), whose professionals include surveying and mapping professionals such as surveyors, cartographers, geodesist, and other spatial data information related professionals. ACSM and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) have proposed to merge.
ACSM jointly created the now retired standard for land title surveys (along with ALTA): 2011 Minimum Standard Detail for ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, which has been replaced by the 2016 Minimum Standard.
