Technical Due Diligence

These comprehensive assessments are executed by potential investors, buyers, or developers. They can be used to assess the technical aspects of a property, project, or asset. The aim of Technical Due Diligence (TDD) is to establish the risks, deficiencies, and opportunities present.

Examples of TDD components include evaluating the safety of a building and identifying any environmental issues, such as contamination. A thorough review of any systems already in place will be performed to evaluate if they are fit for purpose, such as the electrical or plumbing systems. Once this has been performed, compliance needs to be checked for adherence to standards as well as a report drafted identifying the suitability of current systems and operations. Repairs and upgrades that may be necessary as well as likely expenditures are then discussed.
