Changing Perceptions of Environmental Risk

By Kristine MacWilliams, PE

In an increasingly competitive deal market, how does the industry really see and approach environmental risk today? In September 2016, Partner and GlobeSt.com conducted a survey of over 200 commercial real estate professionals on their views on environmental risk. Questions included: How often does an environmental issue kill a deal or cause a loss on an investment? How would you work around environmental issues to get a deal done? Who should order/accept reports? What drives your risk tolerance? Survey data and analysis on these and other questions is presented in this white paper.
