Frank Krech, PE, is a Senior Engineer in Partner Engineering and Science, Inc.’s Baltimore office, where he specialises in structural consulting, building envelope systems, and restoration engineering. With more than 11 years of experience in the construction and structural engineering industry, he has led the assessment, design, and execution of complex building projects ranging from targeted repairs to large-scale capital improvements exceeding $25 million. In his current role, Mr. Krech provides technical expertise to the Property Condition Assessment (PCA) group, focusing on structural and building envelope components for a wide range of commercial and institutional properties.
Mr. Krech has extensive experience managing projects from initial evaluation through design, procurement, and construction administration, helping clients balance technical performance, budget requirements, and long-term asset value. His areas of expertise include façade systems, waterproofing, reinforced concrete and steel repair, roofing systems, and building envelope performance testing. He is also highly experienced in restoration quality assurance and quality control, overseeing construction activities to ensure compliance with design intent, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
Known for his collaborative and client-focused approach, Mr. Krech works closely with property owners, developers, property managers, architects, contractors, and specialty consultants to deliver practical, value-driven solutions. He has developed and implemented asset management and capital planning programmes for a variety of building portfolios, including parking structures and building envelope systems, utilising regional construction cost data to provide accurate and reliable opinions of cost. His ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations enables clients to make informed decisions regarding capital planning, risk mitigation, and long-term building performance.
Throughout his career, Mr. Krech has built a strong background in structural engineering, building restoration, and building envelope due diligence. His experience includes new construction design, building additions, restoration procurement, performance testing oversight for new construction projects, and long-term asset management planning. By combining technical expertise with financial and operational insight, he helps clients protect and enhance the value of their real estate assets.
