Partner Engineering and Science (Partner) Expands its UK Footprint with David Linkson

By Partner ESI

London, UK: June 2017 — David Linkson joins Partner as Director of Building Sciences in Europe. Linkson has over 35 years of experience within the property and construction industry handling project management, development, and risk management throughout the UK and Europe. He is a qualified surveyor and has led and managed numerous technically-challenging and high-value schemes in both public and private sectors.

Steven Kitzke, Director of Operations at Partner, said the addition of Linkson will add momentum to Partner’s European expansion. “It is time to grow the leadership team in our London office and David’s local knowledge and experience in the property and construction sectors will be a tremendous asset to Partner’s growth in both the UK and continental Europe.”

At Partner, in addition to overseeing all building surveys, construction monitoring, and fund management, Linkson maintains an active client-facing role and provides technical support throughout the company for professional surveying practices performed in accordance with RICS requirements.

“With my technical knowledge allied to Chris Gregor‘s environmental background, we can join forces and take the commercial real estate market by storm. I am thrilled for this new opportunity and have a good feeling that the two of us will make a brilliant team,” stated David Linkson.

David began his career working at Royal Sun Alliance Insurance Group for 20 years working on industrial, retail, and office properties before spending several years with a Dutch investment fund managing commercial real estate portfolios all over the world. David was responsible for reviewing the portfolio and investment strategies as well as managing new build and refurbishment projects.

In 2000, David shifted his focus when he went to work for Debenham Thouard Zadelhoff (DTZ) where he completed refurbishment and restoration projects for historical government buildings, including the UK Supreme Court. His duties required working closely with English Heritage to ensure the correct materials and methods were being used, and helping transform former cells into a public coffee area and museum. In addition, he undertook schedules of condition, refurbishments, repairs and decorations, and project managed professional and client teams. Shortly after, David shifted his focus to development and constructing and restoring dilapidated properties before setting off on his own to concentrate on facilities and construction management services. Major clients for David’s company included Harrods, Chelsea FC, Tommy Hilfiger, and Links.

David is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Building (ACIOB). In addition, he has a Diploma in Surveying Practice (DipSP) from the College of Estate Management (CEM) in Reading UK, confirming his technical knowledge of principles and practices allied to surveying. David is also a Fellow of the Faculty of Building (FFB).
