February 1, 2011 — El Segundo, CA — Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. has been ranked as the top environmental due diligence firm in Nevada, according to EDR Scorekeeper, announced company President Joseph Derhake, PE.
Published by Environmental Data Resources, Inc., the leading provider of environmental risk information services and related workflow applications in the United States, The EDR Scorekeeper is the market monitor for the environmental due diligence industry and ranks firms based number of Phase I Environment Site Assessment reports (ESA) performed. A Phase I ESA is performed prior to evaluating environmental liability associated with a real estate asset either for the lender who is considering making a loan or for a prospective buyer.
The firm’s rise as the top environmental firm in the state reflects its growth nationally as the firm’s ESA business in the fourth quarter tripled over the same period last year.
“Our increased activity is a sign that the industry is beginning to heat up,” says Derhake. “One of the reasons is that banks are beginning to work out troubled loans and as a result, more transactions are getting done. Significantly, we have received a great increase in deal volume from commercial mortgage backed security (CMBS) lenders. Partner has been able to grow steadily by servicing a wide range of real estate transactions including new loans as well as foreclosures. One of our largest client segments have been those with a public element such as Fannie Mae lenders, Freddie Mac lenders, FHA lenders, and SBA lenders.”
One of the fastest growing private companies in the United States, Partner is a national environmental and engineering consulting firm focusing on real estate due diligence, building sciences, construction monitoring, and environmental site remediation services. Since its inception in 2008, the firm has grown to become one of the leading environmental due diligence firms in the nation with more than 122 professional staff in 21 offices throughout the United States.
