Cincinnati, OH – May 13th, 2015 — Leading Ohio architect Bob Knight has joined Partner Engineering and Science Inc. (Partner), a national due diligence, design, and engineering consulting firm headquartered in Torrance, CA, as Regional Manager. Based in the Cincinnati office, Knight has 28 years of experience with private and public sector clients and his expertise covers a wide range of industries including residential, corporate, financial, utility, education, institution, research, and market sectors. Knight specializes in leading the development of sustainable and energy-efficient construction practices within comprehensive and integrated architectural and engineering solutions, for project types that range in size, geography, and complexity.
Knight will head Partner’s Cincinnati office and will play a critical role in expanding Partner’s presence in the region to ensure the continued fulfillment of client needs as the volume of transactions and demand for work in Cincinnati continues to increase. As a Registered Architect, Knight will focus on providing due diligence, construction risk management, adaptive reuse consulting, and master planning and design services. As a leader in Cincinnati’s green design movement and with a heavy involvement in the local community, Knight hopes to work closely with Partner’s sister company, Partner Energy, to advance the sustainability of the Ohio community by providing energy consulting services to public and educational facilities in the area .

For seven years, Mr. Knight was lead architect and Principal-in-Charge of facility assessments for the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) under the Classroom Facility Assistance Program (CFAP) and Expedited Local Partnership Program (ELPP). In 2008, Mr. Knight received a diversity award from the Cincinnati Public School Teacher’s Union, the largest teacher’s union in Ohio.
He has worked with institutional clients for both the private and public sectors including health care, research, and office/administration, and clients such as Dow Chemical Company, Eli Lilly, Fifth Third Bank, the US Department of Defense, the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and NASA, among many others. His work included preliminary programming and design services, including budgeting and scope development as well as existing conditions evaluation for each project.
As an entrepreneur and small business owner for the past five years, Mr. Knight is eager to be able to tap into Partner’s extensive professional resources and national presence. “I am very excited to be working with such an established firm that focuses on delivering the most cost-effective solutions to the client and keeps financial concerns and issues up front,” says Mr. Knight.
Mr. Knight is a Registered Architect and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati in Architectural Engineering Technology.
