Partner collaborated with Pond & Company by providing geotechnical engineering services and land survey supporting the portfolio of US Air Force infrastructure projects at eleven Air Force facilities in 8 states including Vandenberg, Minot, Peterson, Seymour, and Andrews.
Partner’s geotechnical services included geophysical scanning for existing underground utilities and geotechnical exploration using hollow stem augers, standard penetration test sampling, and California modified split spoon sampling. Partner also complied with all site access requirements such as background checks, documentation of all vehicles and equipment used, and planning with base security. Partner sampled soils and performed laboratory testing and geotechnical engineering analysis including pavement design, shallow and deep foundation bearing capacity, and settlement estimates.
Partner provided recommendations for excavation and construction of underground utilities as well as recommendations for grading and subgrade preparation for new slabs on grade and foundations.
