Partner was initially hired to conduct a Limited Visual Mold and Indoor Air Quality Assessment in response to complaints about mold growth on HVAC diffusers. Upon examination, localized mold growth was discovered on ceiling tiles and cabinetry due to plumbing leaks. Partner’s report recommended remedial actions including the removal of affected ceiling tiles and cabinetry, as well as the removal of drywall and tile in the hot water heater closet. Given the extensive nature of the required remediation, Partner developed a comprehensive written plan and conducted post-remediation verification.
To support the remediation efforts, the client enlisted Partner to evaluate subcontractor quotes and safety documentation to ensure both a fair price and compliance with necessary standards (including training and licensing). This process involved multiple reviews and conference calls, facilitating a clear understanding of expectations and deliverables for all parties involved. This preparatory work contributed to a successful post-remediation verification during the initial visit. A detailed letter report accompanied by a photolog was provided to the client to bring closure to the project.
