SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Bill Tryon, the Chief Strategy Officer at Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. (PARTNER) has won the most prestigious 2020 PRISM Award, Industry Hall of Fame. The Industry Hall of Fame Award honors an individual for commercial real estate industry contributions through years of commendable service, leadership, and dedication to improving the industry.
Mr. Tryon is among the property risk management industry’s utmost veteran and respected players. During his 30+ years at institutions like Wells Fargo, LandAmerica, and now Partner, Bill has been at the forefront of developing and advancing risk management policies/procedures for environmental, construction, and seismic risk. At Wells Fargo, he was the founder of thorough and consistent procedures for evaluating and managing risk. Bill has participated with EPA, ASTM, SBA, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae to establish and refine policies/requirements dating back to the late 1980s. Having seen how property cycles reveal risky practices in CRE transactions, he remains committed to bettering practices in today’s risk management landscape. He frequently writes and speaks on risk management topics for CRE media, Environmental Bankers Association, Risk Management Association, and others.
As Partner’s Chief Strategy Officer, Bill runs the Construction Lender Risk Management Roundtable, the industry’s only forum for construction lenders and investors to learn, share, and collaborate on pressing risk management issues.
