Torrance, CA – Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. has placed #113 on Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) prestigious Top 500 Design Firms list, based on 2024 revenue data. This marks a significant advancement from last year’s position at #124, reflecting the company’s continued growth and expanding market presence despite challenging economic conditions.
In a milestone achievement, Partner has also made its debut appearance on ENR’s exclusive “Top 100 Pure Designers” list, securing the #96 position. This recognition highlights the successful expansion of our solutions business and reinforces our standing as an industry leader in design excellence.
“Partner is proud to be ranked as #113 by ENR,” said CEO Joe Derhake, PE. “We have really built the engineering design side of our business in the past years. We have increased our service offering in the built environment and for the ground-up construction market. Also, our Environmental Solutions Practices has really grown with several big hires in the past two years, including Bryan Hill, Dave Sawicki, Eric Smith, and Steve McKnight.”
The improved rankings come amid a period of economic uncertainty in the market, as firms navigate potential impacts from policy shifts, including proposed tariffs. Partner’s risk management services and business-savvy solutions provide critical support to CRE owners and investors, especially in times of uncertainty. Due to its extensive reach and depth of market penetration—the firm touches about 20% of all CRE transactions in the U.S. and some 3,000 construction projects each month—Partner offers unique insight into real-world effects of the trade war and other market forces.
As transaction volumes dropped over the last two years, Partner increased its focus on services to support asset and facility management for owners and occupiers seeking to improve the performance and/or efficiency of their CRE assets. The firm experienced notable growth in its environmental health and safety, environmental remediation, asset data collection, and energy practices. In conjunction with the growth of these practices, Partner invested in a technology solution, Sitelynx, a user-friendly cloud platform that simplifies report ordering, delivery, and analysis.
Partner continues to invest in talent development, technological capabilities, and service diversification to maintain its growth trajectory and further strengthen its market position.
