Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. (Partner) is pleased to welcome Kyle Gustafson as a National Client Manager specializing in Construction Risk Management. Gustafson, who holds over two decades of invaluable experience in the construction industry, has particular expertise in Small Business Administration (SBA) lending and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.

Frank S. His expertise in SBA and sales, combined with his understanding of the construction and lending sectors, uniquely positions him to drive growth and provide exceptional value to our clients.”

Prior to joining Partner, Gustafson’s career journey encompassed various roles within risk management, finance, and software sectors. He began his career in construction risk management, where he played a pivotal role in developing the construction risk management group at Granite Commercial Management. Under his leadership, the team achieved significant success, becoming a top-three company within the SBA industry. His experience illuminated for him the critical importance of due diligence and professional administration of loan funds during the vulnerable construction period. Gustafson’s career then led him into SBA construction lending, where he gained a deeper understanding of the banking sector’s needs, including the challenges posed by archaic legacy systems. His experience underscored the significance of access to credit, risk-averse lenders, and SBA programs in promoting wealth generation and community development.

Over the last decade, Gustafson transitioned to the software industry, where he made substantial contributions. He guided the development and sold digital onboarding solutions, loan origination software (LOS), loan management software (LMS), and liquidation software, making significant strides in automating various manual tasks for banks and credit unions. He later ventured into an AI decisioning and machine learning software company. Through these experiences, Gustafson came to understand the vital role of modern technology and automated systems in revolutionizing banking operations, benefiting both financial institutions and their customers.

When asked about his decision to join Partner, Mr. Gustafson expressed his eagerness to collaborate with the company’s cutting-edge applications and build strong client relationships. He was drawn to Partner by its exceptional expertise and its commitment to fostering long-lasting relationships with clients, a vision that aligns perfectly with his own. He noted, “I am looking forward to leveraging the depth of expertise that Partner possesses. This team truly understands the intricacies of construction risk management and mitigation. I look forward to combining my relationship-building and sales skills with the unparalleled expertise backing me. Together, we can make a substantial impact.”

Mr. Gustafson has been involved in various industry affiliations and organizations, having served as the Educational Chair of the America West Small Business Lending Conference as well as an Officer for the Colorado Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (CAGGL).
