In 2017, Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. was contracted by the Willis Tower owners to conduct a comprehensive Property Condition Assessment (PCA) and Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) of this iconic Downtown Chicago property as part of the upcoming $500 million in renovations planned for this site. Partner’s team of highly-qualified professionals were able to meet the project’s very aggressive timetable and budget to get the project completed to meet all the stakeholders’ requirements. Spearheaded by Michael Arias, Technical Director at Partner, the PCA team was able to mobilize on site in short order and evaluate the building’s numerous systems, which include 104 elevators, 25,000 miles of electrical cables, and 25 miles of plumbing. The success of this project was due in no small part to the execution of strong ongoing communications between the Partner team and the building’s facilities and management staff. These communications allowed the entire team to cooperate closely, allowing Partner to complete the project in the requested timeframe. Partner is proud to have been a part of this exciting project and looks forward to the planned renovations of this historic property.
