Partner was recently recognized by Engineering News-Record (ENR) as one of the Top 200 global Environmental Firms. This year, Partner moved up 22 spots from 107 to 85, breaking into the top 100!
This worldwide list includes all types of environmental firms: environmental contractors, construction management, equipment or device manufacturers, and consultants. When compared only to the other consultants on the list, Partner would be the 38th highest ranked consultant on this global list.
“It is a distinction to be listed among 85 of the largest environmental firms and contactors in the industry. We might be the only 15-year-old firm in the top 100,” said Joe Derhake, CEO. “Getting ahead of very esteemed rival environmental firms like Haley & Aldrich, Roux, CEC, and Kennedy/Jenks is one hell of an achievement.” He joked “By the way, I applied to CEC out of college and they passed.”
Partner’s environmental revenue growth reflects a strong year for environmental due diligence for commercial real estate transactions in 2021, as well as rapidly growing national practices in environmental remediation, health & safety, ESG consulting, and solar/renewables consulting. Derhake opined that “We expect these practices will continue to thrive in the coming year, especially with the Inflation Reduction Act bringing new opportunities to implement profitable energy efficiency and renewable energy measures into real estate.” He notes that this list is just Partner’s environmental revenue: “More than half of our revenue comes from the building science side, where we also rank highly on ENR’s design firms list.”
The markets on which ENR bases the percentage of environmental revenue include hazardous and nuclear waste cleanup; air quality and clean energy; environmental management and science; and water supply and wastewater treatment. The type of clients and percentage of environmental revenue was based on Federal, State/Local and, Private.
ENR is a leading construction and engineering industry publication providing news, analysis, commentary and, data. The ENR Top 200 Environmental Firms List ranks the largest global Environmental firms, both publicly and privately held, based on revenue for environmental services performed in 2021. Firms are ranked through an annual survey.
